In the realm of military defense contractors, sometimes a small glitch on the board tosses your whole team into the weird.
A small drone test flight gone wrong over US soil caused what some down the river refer to as a sympathetic mobilization response among extremists, from terrorists to prepared private militias. The little crash created a huge signal, felt to the edges of the world.
In the cleanup, RDI contractors were sent on a light errand to the backwoods of Maine by a select national security committee to recover a few missing Army folk and their toy. On a similarly calm milk run, the Department of State dispatched two teams of Ulysses Security contractors to buff up security at the United States Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Neither group was quite prepared for how their moves on the world chessboard would play into the hands of fate and bring them together on the same path.
